Petition again NTR’s marriage cancelled

It is known that Shanthi Prasad, an advocate filed a petition in the court of law saying that actor Junior NTR was marrying a minor girl, which was not allowed by the law. The same has been cancelled off by the Machilipatnam legal service authority, today.

The actor will marry Lakshmi Pranathi, an 18-year old girl, studying in Intermediate 2nd year in a city college. The marriage has been arranged by the actor’s elders. Ever since the news broke out, there have been speculations that the girl was not eligible for marriage, as she did not attain a majority as per the Indian Law.

Following the news, an advocate filed a petition saying that the engagement was not valid, as the girl was a minor.

It is learnt that by the time they enter a wedlock in May, Lakshmi will have attained majority.
